Public buildings present a significant opportunity for advancing energy efficiency, yet challenges in procurement, financing, and implementation often hinder progress. As highlighted in the Clean Industrial Deal, innovative solutions are essential to meeting Europe’s energy and climate targets, particularly in decarbonizing the built environment.
This workshop will explore how One-Stop Shops (OSS) can serve as a transformative solution to these challenges. By centralizing services such as project planning, procurement, financing, and implementation, OSS offer streamlined and scalable pathways to accelerate public building retrofits.
The session will also delve into effective financing strategies tailored for public building projects, including models such as Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), Energy Performance Contracts (EPCs), and EU-specific funding opportunities. Key stakeholders such as municipal leaders, building managers, and sustainability officers will gain insights into best practices for driving energy-efficient initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance.
The workshop will feature real-world case studies, including insights from the CROSSFIT project, demonstrating successful approaches to innovative procurement, financing and implementation.
